How can tickets be purchased?

As defined by the laws of the Municipality, Province, and Government of Canada.

1. Must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket.

2. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded.

3. Members of the Board of Directors and paid staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, are not permitted to purchase Dream Home #30 Lottery tickets.

4. If the winner has not been located within 365 days of the draw, after publicly advertising this fact, the Society will write to the AGLC requesting permission to allocate said prizes for use by Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area.

5. Credit card vouchers made payable to the organization are acceptable. Non-certified cheques will be accepted. Ticket stub(s) will not be included in any draw until the funds are in the Agency’s Dream Home Lottery #30 Raffle Bank Account.

6. Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except where they may be late for the Early Bird or Loyalty Draws.

7. The draw will be conducted in the following manner: Draw will be open to the public, and two members of the executive of Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area will be present to witness. The draw will be taped, and tickets drawn from a transparent draw barrel. Tickets will be drawn manually by an individual who does not have a ticket in the draw, in a random manner. Only the person making the draw will put their arm into the draw barrel, and will have no clothing on their arm, below their elbow. The winning ticket(s) will be displayed to the witnesses for inspection immediately after they are drawn from the barrel.

8. Grand Prize is a fully furnished house valued at $1,323,244.00 including lot, home furnishings, landscaping and gst. No cash in lieu prize will be awarded. Possession of the home is 30 days after the draw.

9. The Loyalty Draw (1X $50,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday January 22, 2010 on site at the Dream Home (204 Balmoral Manor, 52328 RR 233, Sherwood Park). Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Monday January 4, 2010 will be eligible for this draw.

10. The Early Bird #1 Draw (30 X $ 1,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday March 5, 2010 on site at the Dream Home (204 Balmoral Manor, 52328 RR 233, Sherwood Park). Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Monday February 22, 2010 will be eligible for this draw.

11. The Early Bird #2 Draw (1 X $ 30,000 and 3 x $10,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday April 23, 2010 on site at the Dream Home (204 Balmoral Manor, 52328 RR 233, Sherwood Park). Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Thursday April 8, 2010 will be eligible for this draw.

12. The Final Grand Prize House Draw ($1,323,244.00 including lot, home, furnishings, landscaping and gst) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday May 14, 2010 on site at the Dream Home (204 Balmoral Manor, 52328 RR233, Sherwood Park). Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm Thursday April 29, 2010 will be eligible for this draw. If all tickets are sold prior to Thursday, April 8, 2010, the draw will be held April 22, 2010, with the approval of Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.

13. All of the above mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public. Order of the draws will be as follows; the first draw will be for the Loyalty prize (one draw of $50,000 cash), next will be the Early Bird #1 prize, 30 draws of $1,000 cash, next will be the Early Bird #2 prize, one draw of $30,000 cash, and 3 of $10,000 and the final draw for the Grand Prize Dream Home Package ($1,323,244.00 including lot, home, furnishings, landscaping and gst). Total Prize value is $1,463,244 including gst.

14. Refunds will be available to ticket purchasers, however if any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued. Allow 3-4 weeks for arrival of official ticket(s).

15. Tickets for the Dream Home Lottery will be sold in Alberta only.

16. Total tickets available are 14,500 tickets @ $25; 11,500 sets @ 4 for $60; 20,000 sets @ 10 for $100 and 6000 sets at 30/$200 for a total of 440,500 tickets.

17. Tickets may be purchased by cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit and cash. The Lottery Committee’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

18. Only upon demonstrating extraordinary circumstances to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will the Licensee make a request for draw extension.

20. In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. Big Brothers Big Sisters and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. Big Brothers Big Sisters will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on a ticket.

21. All tickets will be controlled by the licensee and are only available by mail, fax, phone, internet and in person at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area (10135 89 Street). Ticket request forms will be collected weekly, with tickets processed and mailed by the Lottery Tickets Sales Centre at Stride Management Corp. Ticket request forms must be received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre to be valid.

22. Total retail value of all prizes is: $1,463,244.00 including gst.
