What methods of payment are accepted?
Cheque, money order, Visa or MasterCard. Cash purchases and debit card purchases are also available at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office and the Dream Home office.
What are the ticket prices?
1 ticket for $25; 4 tickets for $60 or 10 tickets for $100 & 30 tickets for $200.
How many tickets are available in total?
There are 13,000 tickets printed @ $25 each; 11,000 sets at 4/$60; and 12,500 sets printed at 10/$100; and 7,350 sets of 30 for $20 for a total of 402,500 tickets.
What is Win 50?
It is a 50-50 style draw, where the money received in ticket sales by April 27, 2012 is divided between the winner and the charity.
Can I buy one or the other or both?
You can buy either ticket or both Dream Home and Win 50 tickets. Your Dream Home ticket enters you in the draw to win the Dream Home and Early Bird prizes, and your Win 50 ticket enters you in the draw to win half the cash.
What are the Win 50 ticket prices?
1 ticket for $5; 10 tickets for $25 & 30 tickets for $50.
How many Win 50 tickets are available in total?
There are 8,000 tickets printed at $5 each; 9,000 sets at 10 for $25 and 7,000 sets at 30 for $50 for a total of 308,000.
What is the Win 50 prize?
There will be a minimum guaranteed payout of $123,000 or 50% of ticket sales up to $307,500 (whichever is greater).
How long will it take to receive the ticket in the mail?
Please allow 3 - 4 weeks.
How and when will the winners be notified of what they have won?
Winners will be published in the Edmonton Journal and on this website within the week following each draw.
How many prizes can be won?
4 prizes including a Grand Prize Showhome valued at $1,404,432; Loyalty Prize of $50,000; Early Bird Prize #1 of $50,000; Early Bird Prize #2 of $50,000.
Can we visit the Dream Home?
Yes. Dream Home #32 opens Mid January, 2011 and is located at 111 Balmoral Cove, Sherwood Park (52328 RR 233). The hours are Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; 12 noon - 5 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays only. The Dream Home is closed on Fridays.

Is the ticket price tax deductible / do you get a tax receipt?
The ticket is not tax deductible and no tax receipt is issued as per Canadian Revenue Agency Rules and Regulations.

Can tickets be put in the name of a corporation or business?
Yes. Should the ticket be a winner, the prize will be awarded to the corporation or business.
How many names can be put on a ticket?
In the event that a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. Big Brother Big Sisters and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. Big Brothers Big Sisters will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on any ticket.
Where do proceeds from the Dream Home #32 lottery go?
Proceeds from our Dream Home Lotteries support delivery of mentoring programs for children and youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area including the recruitment, screening and matching of children and adult volunteers.
